"I attended a large family dinner party with my
boyfriend at his wealthy sister's Florida
mansion. The host was my companion's
brother-in-law who was loud, obnoxious, and
always pulling pranks. As the meal began, I
started bragging about my 2 year college
degree in professional duck-calling. Well as dinner proceeded, the others joked and teased me and didn't believe me. I stuck to my story
and tried to look wounded at their laughter.
By dessert, some began to wonder if I was
telling the truth. I agreed finally to show
them my professional, formal duck-calling
technique. I cleared my mouth carefully of
food and drink, patted my clothes smooth,
pushed my hair back behind my ears, and slowly
raised both hands up to cup around my lips.
As everyone watched with skeptical or curious
expressions, I gently but firmly gave my duck
call: "Here ducky ducky, here ducky ducky!" It was a dead silent few seconds before everyone realized I got 'em all like prime suckers!"
