"I lied about why I was speeding to a State
Trooper. As I was slowing down I rolled down
the windows and pulled down my lower lids to
get my eyes to well up with tears. When he
walked up to the side of my car I burst in
with, "I'm so sorry officer. My mom
was just taken to the hospital with a stroke.
Please, sir, if you have to write me a ticket,
please can you do it fast. I need to be with
her." Seeing the tears now streaming
down my face, he shook his head and told me to
go to my mom but try to slow it down. I was
going 85 on a 55 state highway. And I was going
home from college to do my laundry. Mom was
fine and I was home free!"
